Manifesto
High Profile interviews engage with people who help to shape our world or the way we perceive it. We want to learn more about their values, beliefs and principles and the experience of life that has formed them.
Over the years, we have talked in depth to more than 260 public figures, from Gerry Adams to Benjamin Zephaniah and beyond. We have interviewed artists and scientists, philosophers and activists, newspaper editors and Cabinet ministers. We’ve engaged with soldiers, film directors, sheikhs and archbishops.
‘These are much more interesting questions than I’m usually asked,’ Andrew Motion told us. ‘It is difficult to catch someone’s real voice, but this really does catch mine. I loved it,’ said Camille Paglia. Jeremy Paxman emailed us: ‘That is the best interview with me that I have ever read!’
High Profile was the centrepiece of the radical Christian magazine Third Way from 1993 until it folded in 2016. Rowan Williams called it ‘imaginative and unafraid … an irreplaceable contribution to the debate’.
That spirit lives on here.

We’re always glad to hear your comments and suggestions.
If you want to propose someone for interview, please bear in mind: they have to be genuinely influential, they have to be well known, they have to be people who are reflective and would respond well to the kind of questions we ask, and they have to be gettable! (And do check that we haven’t interviewed them already.)
